When women help other women, amazing things happen! Our clubs and members breathe life into our programs and truly come together to make a difference for women and girls worldwide.

There are nearly 72,000 Soroptimists worldwide, the majority of whom belong to their local Club, where they can make friends with like-minded women, have fun and work on projects that help improve the lives of women and girls locally, nationally and internationally.

Soroptimist International has consultative status at the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) at the United Nations (UN), which gives us a voice on important discussion papers, and allows us to attend the Commission on the Status of Women in New York each March, and contribute to the “Agreed Conclusions”. This status would not be possible without the fantastic work being done by our Members.

Our North & West Vancouver club holds monthly business meetings and coordinates events, hands-on projects, fundraising, and member social events. We pay annual dues for the privilege of making a difference in the lives of women and girls. When you join one of our 1,300+ Soroptimist clubs across the world, you have the opportunity to connect with like-minded women, build life-long friendships and take advantage of various networking opportunities.
